Be the Blue

8 Oct

Inspired by this post at Zendictive.

I saw the smallest flower today
it was the size of a thimble.

I leaned over to view this gem
because it was so very little.

It was the prettiest blue hue
that I think I have ever seen.

There was so much beauty
in something so very tiny.

All around other flowers blossomed
and largely they towered.

But I found so much delight
in the smallest flower.

Sometimes you have to be quieter than the voices around you to be heard. Lovely.

I really love this zendictive poem (like a modern Emily Dickenson) — so nice you took the time to repost with such a cool watercolor.

I really like the artwork – a splash of color with the black and white!
