I smoked it.

11 May

Well almost.
I am out of cigarettes this morning and was scavengering the ashtray – as us die-hards are wont to do in such situations (don’t judge, I don’t feel like walking to the store.  shut up.).  Found something smokable and went to fire it up – and a tiny little spider jumped from the butt to my nose!  How’s THAT for a good morning???  Poor guy.  Can you imagine?  Now THERE’s a doodle waiting to happen.
Have started my fucking ARVs up again.  (ARV = AIDS meds) I don’t know which is worse, really.  I’ve tried with.  I’ve tried without.  I feel like shit no matter which way you fart it.  I am just tired of the dead horse beatings…  So with it is again.  The wolf is knocking – might as well let the mother fucker in.  Maybe it will buy me time to get done all that is expected of me in the interim.
I keep thinking I will lose followers with all this pseudo-political-unpleasant art and non-blogging I have going on lately – but the numbers keep growing.  So a big olonjourclikclikciaoha to all the newbies.  I hope you’re enjoying the show.
I will be opening a online store from which you can purchase select prints here shortly.  I meant to do it last week but last week was busy dragging my around by my ass hair and bashing me into brick walls and dead ends, so hopefully I can get to it – and all the other commishes and inquiries this week.  Just bear with me.  A lot going on and I don’t keep up very well.
Until then, live it like you love it.

    Grandmother Spider
Weaver of the Web of Fate

Spider medicine's purpose is to get you to think/act on your goals, your dreams, and living your joy. The spider teaches you how to take your dreams and weave them into reality. She teaches us that the mind and spirit are so powerful, that that which you envision can become a reality. Everything begins as energy before it can manifest in the physical world. I think it was Cayce who said “Mind is ever the builder”.

We need to remain aware that we possess that power, because it works as well with negative thoughts/dreams as it does with positive ones. What is worry but negative visualization?

Spider is the keeper of dreams. She is associated with those who are called dreamwalkers and also with the crone aspect of the triple goddess. The energy of creative magic, the energy of the feminine mystery, and the magic of the written word are all her domain.

Ted Andrews, author of Animal Speak says …

“Spider teaches you to maintain a balance – between past and future, physical and spiritual, male and female. Spider teaches you that everything you now do is weaving what you will encounter in the future.

The spider awakens creative sensibilities. It weaves a web of intricate and subtle fabric, as if to remind us that the past always subtly influences the present and future. Often the webs will take a spiral shape, the traditional form of creativity and development. The spider found within the web reminds us that we are the center of our own world.

If spider has come into your life, ask yourself some important questions. Are you not weaving your dreams and imaginings into reality? Are you not using your creative opportunities? Are you feeling closed in or stuck as if in a web? Do you need to pay attention to your balance and where you are walking in life? Are others out of balance around you? Do you need to write? Are you inspired to write or draw and not following through? Remember that spider is the keeper of knowledge of the primordial alphabet. Spider can teach how to use the written language with power and creativity so that your words weave a web around those who would read them.”

Spider is one of my primary totems. She expended a lot of energy getting me to notice, I'm not always the most observant person on the planet 😉 Just some things I found interesting in my research … I thought they might speak to you also.
