22 Dec

black claws
in dark and white
reach out
for something
long gone
never realizing
their own death
beautiful yet
in the cold

fields of blue
will soon erupt
vomit their glory
on the hillside
at his feet
where he will stand
still stoic and dead

always reaching
but wanting
nothing more
than rest

    >Haunting but not necessarily sad. There is triumph in his constance in a world that changes with the seasons. Funny, my post is also a tree-and-death oriented piece… must be something in the air. Either that, or it's hard to think of anything else come winter!

    >Excellent capture of something we all carry within, when we bother to get in touch with it; (I think the song you may be stuck on here is that Amazing Rhythm Ace's one: "And my soul cries out for rest/but the end is not in sight…")Enjoyed it, and thanks educating me about the lore of hedgewitchery.
